POVA is set to launch its latest smartphone, the POVA 8 PRO, in India on 18th August. The new model will follow the POVA 8 5G, which was launched in the country earlier this year, and appears to place a strong emphasis on distinctive design and visual customization. The company has teased the smartphone ahead of its launch, highlighting a unique rear-panel feature called the Alive Matrix Display.
POVA 8 PRO Alive Matrix Display
The biggest design highlight of the POVA 8 Pro is its Alive Matrix Display, an interactive visual system integrated into the rear panel.
Instead of keeping the back of the smartphone as a conventional static surface, the system adds an active visual element that can display different patterns or notifications. This allows the rear of the phone to remain visually interactive even when the handset is placed face-down.
“Room Notices” Design Concept
POVA is positioning the design around its “Room Notices” concept, which focuses on making the smartphone visually distinctive and recognizable.
The approach includes:
- High Visibility: A design intended to stand out even from a distance
- Rear-Panel Functionality: Using the back of the device as an additional visual surface
- Visual Customization: Interactive elements designed to provide notifications and visual effects
The Alive Matrix Display therefore appears to be the defining design element of the POVA 8 Pro, differentiating it from conventional smartphones that rely primarily on their rear camera module and finish for visual identity.
POVA 8 PRO Launch Date
The POVA 8 Pro will officially launch in India on 18th August 2026. POVA is expected to reveal the complete specifications, camera details, pricing, colour options, and availability during the launch event.
