Norwegian telecom operator Telenor who has a joint venture with Unitech Wireless in India and operates in the name Uninor, has said that it’ll invest Rs. 15,500 crores in its Indian operations in the next 10 years. Now that is a huge amount and can aid in further expansion of the company and its operations in the country.

Telenor expects a growth revenue target of Rs 2,500 crore from Uninor from the fiscal year period of 2011-12 as compared to Rs 600 crores registered in the last fiscal. Uninor Managing director Sigve Brekke said that the company projects to bring down its capital expenditure by Rs 400 crores in 2011-12 from Rs 1,200 crores posted in 2010-11.
