Upcoming Nokia Windows Phone revealed by design patent, could launch at MWC

A Nokia design patent which the Finnish giant filed back in December 2011 has just been approved by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) which could go on to be of any of the recently rumored Nokia smartphones called the Nokia Catwalk, Nokia EOS, Nokia Lumia 720 and the Nokia Lumia 520.

Interestingly, we have seen the phone’s design previously getting leaked in an allegedly promo video back in August 2011, when Nokia had just announced shifting to the Windows Phone platform and hadn’t announced the Nokia Lumia 800 also.

When you compare the design patent above and the leaked image below, we can clearly make out the resemblance with the curvy design, placement of the camera module, speaker and more this confirming that the two are of the same device. Nokia has its press meet on February 25th where we expect the company to unveil a couple of devices.

But it is to be seem, which one out of the four: Nokia Catwalk, Nokia EOS, Nokia Lumia 720 and the Nokia Lumia 520 will take the above design. Our bet is on the Nokia Lumia 720 and Lumia 520. Until then, catch the smartphone in the leaked promo video below.
