Vodafone Idea (Vi) has announced a refresh of its visual brand identity, transforming its signature brand mark into a dynamic three-dimensional sphere positioned at the top of the logo layout. The company says the updated design is intended to convey greater depth, movement, and a forward-looking outlook as Vi prepares for its next phase of growth.

Alongside the visual redesign, Vi has announced actor Shah Rukh Khan as the brand ambassador for its upcoming campaign, titled “Vi badal raha hai… tayaar rahiye” (Vi is changing… be ready). The campaign serves as an introductory teaser for broader operational and service-focused updates that the company plans to roll out in the coming weeks.
Strategic Evolution & Visual Updates
The refreshed identity represents an evolution of Vi’s existing visual language rather than a complete departure from its established branding. By transforming the core graphic element into a three-dimensional sphere, the company aims to retain existing brand recognition while giving the brand a more modern and energetic appearance.
The refresh also aligns with Vi’s efforts to evolve from a conventional telecommunications provider into a broader digital and connectivity partner. The company says the initiative will build on its existing fundamentals while focusing on three key areas:
- Network Expansion: Accelerating infrastructure deployment to improve network coverage and capacity.
- Service Innovation: Expanding digital offerings and customer-focused products.
- Customer Experience: Moving toward an experience-led service framework.
Regarding the new brand identity, Abhijit Kishore, CEO, Vi commented, “This is not simply a logo refresh, it is the first expression of the evolution we are bringing to the Vi Brand. It reflects our ambition for Vi and commitment to shaping what telecom can be – an experience that makes life more rewarding, and full of possibilities for our customers.”
Progressive Rollout
The refreshed branding and design elements will be introduced progressively across Vi’s consumer touchpoints starting 1 September 2026. The rollout covers the company’s digital platforms, retail store network, physical marketing and brand collateral, as well as upcoming marketing communications across India.
The company is expected to reveal further operational and service-related changes as the new campaign rolls out in the coming weeks.
