While Xiaomi had been going through a rough patch in India following the complete ban in India, the company has found something to celebrate – 1 million smartphones.

Xiaomi-1-million-sales-india

Manu Jain, Head of Xiaomi in India, has announced that the Chinese company which entered the Indian shores just five months back, has sold 1 million smartphones in the country. The company, which is known for the flash sales which lasted for a few seconds, has been retailing exclusively through Flipkart.

Xiaomi begin its India operations in July with the launch of the flagship Mi 3. This was followed by the ultra-affordable Redmi 1S, which literally blew the smartphone market in India wide open. Earlier this month, the company launched the Redmi Note but had to stop prematurely due to the sales ban. The company is now expected to release the Redmi Note 4G.
