Xiaomi teams up with HCL to provide support services to its customers in India

Xiaomi is focusing more on the Indian market. It already has plans to setup more manufacturing units in India, and now, it has teamed up with HCL to provide support services to its customers in India.

HCL today announced the launch of exclusive Experience Service Centres (ESCs) for Xiaomi phones. These centres will take care of the service needs of Xiaomi customers by providing solution for accessories, services and insurance requirements. These ESCs will act as an extension of Xiaomi support which currently covers 28 cities including Tier-I cities of North and East India as well as India’s Tier-II cities.

“We are delighted to strengthen our association with Xiaomi by introducing Exclusive Service Centres for their leading-edge phones. We are confident that these state-of-the-art service centres will enable Xiaomi to cater to the Indian markets more effectively and efficiently. This initiative is in line with our constant endeavor to deliver service excellence and be a preferred partner for leading Indian and international brands.” said Mr. Sharad Talwar, Head of Consumer Services, HCL Services Ltd.

“A key focus for us in 2016 is scaling up our after sales support and this partnership is a step forward in this direction. We are pleased to announce these exclusive service centers with HCL Care and hope that with this partnership will provide an enhanced and localized experience to our customers.” said Liu Tao, Head of After Sales, Xiaomi Technology India Pvt Ltd.

Out of the 40 scheduled ESCs, HCL has already made 37 of them functional along with deploying 250 people at these ESCs. These ESCs are expected to handle 43,000 calls within the next two years. HCL plans to cover Western and Southern India by providing more such centres for Xiaomi customers.
