XOLO is one Indian manufacturer, which has been slowly and steadily bringing Android KitKat updates to its devices. Today is the turn of XOLO Q1010i. The XOLO Q1010i was launched a couple of months back and the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update is now available for the device.
Similar to the XOLO Q1000 Opus, the update is not available over the air, instead you’ll have to manually download the update package from a PC and then transfer it to your phone to install the update. You can download the update from here. Then open the XOLO Care app and under the “Update” tab, hit the “check for updates” button. Once you Q1010i detects the update package, you’ll be able to continue with installing the update.
The update process is a bit of a hassle but atleast you are getting the latest Android update. We are surely impressed by XOLO’s work in bringing updates to these devices. We hope other Indian manufacturers (read: Karbonn and MIcromax) follow suit.
