Though Mozilla is steadily launching the Firefox OS smartphones in emerging smartphone markets, India remains far behind in the list. However, the first Firefox OS smartphone – the ZTE Open has entered the Indian shores.
The ZTE Open, which is the Firefox OS based smartphone is now on sale on eBay. However the smartphone isn’t being sold by ZTE officially. The smartphone is priced at Rs. 6990 and is bundled with 1 year third part all India warranty covered by ServePro.
The ZTE Open, which is a 3G smartphone, has a small 3.5 inch display with 480 x 320 pixels resolution. The device is powered by a 1 GHz Snapdragon processor with hardly 256 MB of RAM and 512 MB of internal storage. Also on board is the Adreno 200 GPU. The phone also has a rear facing 2 MP camera.
