The latest smartphone gimbal focuses on enhanced remote control functionality, upgraded subject tracking, and improved Apple ecosystem integration. The Osmo Mobile 8P retains the foldable integrated design of previous models while introducing the new Osmo FrameTap detachable remote control.
Design & FrameTap remote
The DJI Osmo Mobile 8P weighs approximately 386 grams and includes:
- Built-in 215mm extension rod
- Updated built-in tripod with wider stance
- Foldable compact design
The major addition is the new Osmo FrameTap remote, a detachable magnetic controller featuring:
- Built-in display preview
- Remote pan, tilt, and zoom controls

The display mirrors either the smartphone camera feed or the output from the Multifunctional Module 2.

The gimbal can also function as a power bank for connected smartphones.
Tracking and stabilization features
The Osmo Mobile 8P uses DJI’s eighth-generation 3-axis stabilization system to reduce shake and improve handheld footage.

- Better obstruction handling in crowded environments
- Faster directional tracking response
When paired with the Multifunctional Module 2, the gimbal can track:
