LG has announced its quarterly report for the first quarter of 2014 and things seem to be moving forward in the right direction for the South Korean manufacturer.

LG's Q1 2014 report

LG has reported that they managed to ship 12.6 million smartphones in Q1 2014. That’s a 19% increase from the same quarter last year. The increase in smartphone shipments has helped the revenue move up to KRW3.41 trillion (~$3.19 billion), which is a 6% YoY increase. LG also managed to ship their highest number of LTE smartphones to date. Out of the 12.6 million smartphones shipped, 5 million among them were LTE smartphones.

The South Korean company’s net profit also saw a remarkable increase. Its profit were KRW92.60 billion ($86.62 million), which is a 319% increase from the last year. The consolidated first-quarter revenues was KRW 14.27 trillion (USD 13.35 billion), a minor increase of 1.2%.

Along with the quarterly report, LG has also confirmed that the LG G3 will launch in Q2 of the year. Along with the LG G3 confirmation, LG also confirmed upcoming L Series devices.
