We know most of HTC M8 aka HTC One 2 specs by now, only the design has remained a mystery and now, we have a new HTC M8 leak which shows us the alleged on-screen navigation buttons of the device.

New HTC M8 leak

The on-screen navigation buttons we have come across suggest HTC will be returning to the three button layout, similar to what it used in the yesteryear flagship, HTC One X. Everyone has their own preference when it comes to on-screen buttons. Some of us love it while some prefer capacitive buttons more. I prefer on-screen buttons and hopefully, the on-screen buttons will allow to HTC to bring the 5-inch display on the M8 in the same footprint as the HTC One.

The rumors have suggested, HTC M8/One+/One 2 to be a rather incremental update. Reportedly, the M8 will come with a 5-inch 1080p display while the world is readying smartphones with QHD (1440 x 2560) displays. We really don’t mind a 1080p display as long as it’s good enough. Other rumored specs suggest the design of the M8 to be similar to the HTC One, a Snapdragon 800 processor with 2 GB RAM, an improved dual-sensor UltraPixel camera, a fingerprint scanner, Android 4.4 KitKat with the latest Sense 6.

The latest reports tell us that the HTC M8 will not be launched at MWC and rather, it will be launching at a New York event in late March. So, we’ll still have to wait for a couple of months till we find out everything about the HTC M8. There’s also an HTC M8 Mini in the works and it too might release with its elder sibling at the New York event.

Coming back to the new HTC M8 leak, what do you say? Do you prefer on-screen navigation buttons or your preference lies in the physical ones? Do tell us in the comments below.
