Add MobiGyaan as a preferred source on GoogleOnePlus has officially launched the OnePlus N6 in India, introducing a new smartphone focused on battery endurance, everyday reliability, and long-term software support. Positioned in the highly competitive sub-₹25,000 segment, the OnePlus N6 arrives with the tagline “Always On. Always Smooth,” combining a massive 8,000 mAh battery, the new MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Apex SoC, a 120 Hz display, Military-Grade durability, and OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16.
OnePlus says the N6 is designed for users who prioritize all-day performance without constantly worrying about charging. The smartphone combines an efficient hardware platform with intelligent battery management, practical AI-powered camera features, and a clean software experience while maintaining the premium design language introduced with the flagship OnePlus 15 series.
The biggest highlight of the OnePlus N6 is its 8,000 mAh battery, which OnePlus says is capable of delivering up to three days of battery life under typical usage. The battery is paired with 45W SUPERVOOC Fast Charging along with support for Bypass Charging, which routes power directly from the charger to the hardware instead of charging the battery during gaming or other demanding workloads. According to OnePlus, this helps reduce heat generation while maintaining more consistent performance.
OnePlus has also included 5W reverse charging, allowing the smartphone to charge compatible accessories and other devices when required. The company says the battery has been engineered for long-term reliability, retaining over 80% battery health after 1,600 complete charge cycles, equivalent to around 7 years of daily usage. A dedicated Super Power Saving Mode is also included to extend battery life when charge levels become critically low.
Powering the OnePlus N6 is the new 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Apex octa-core SoC, which combines 2 x ARM Cortex-A76 performance cores clocked at up to 2.4 GHz with 6 x ARM Cortex-A55 efficiency cores clocked at 2.0 GHz, alongside the ARM Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. According to OnePlus, the platform achieves an AnTuTu benchmark score exceeding 615,800, providing sufficient performance for multitasking, gaming, streaming, and everyday productivity.
The processor is paired with up to 6 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128 GB of storage, with support for storage expansion up to 2 TB via a microSD card. To maintain stable performance during extended gaming sessions, the smartphone incorporates a 5,300 mm² Vapor Chamber Cooling System. Combined with Bypass Charging, the cooling solution is designed to reduce thermal throttling during sustained workloads.
The OnePlus N6 adopts a premium design language inspired by the flagship OnePlus 15 series, featuring a matte-finished rear panel and a metallic camera module. The smartphone comes in two color options – Fresh Mint, and Midnight Green. On the front, the smartphone features a 6.8-inch HD+ LCD display supporting a 120 Hz refresh rate and up to 1,200 nits High Brightness Mode (HBM) brightness.
The device is also built for durability with IP65 dust and splash resistance, MIL-STD-810H military-grade certification, and OnePlus’ ArmorShell Protection, which combines reinforced structural components to improve drop resistance and long-term durability.
For cameras, the OnePlus N6 features a 50 MP rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture, accompanied by an 8 MP front-facing camera. The rear camera supports video recording at up to 1080p at 60 fps, while the front camera records at up to 1080p at 30 fps. Additional recording modes include 720p at 120 fps slow-motion and Dual-View Video, allowing simultaneous recording using both front and rear cameras.
OnePlus has also integrated several AI-powered photography tools, including AI Eraser, AI Perfect Shot, AI Unblur, AI Reflection Eraser, AI Portrait Glow, and AI Detail Boost. These features are designed to improve image quality and simplify photo editing directly on the device. The smartphone ships with OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16 and will receive 2 generations of Android OS upgrades along with 3 years of security updates.
