Last week we saw the press renders of OnePlus 3 showing off its full metal body. We have also seen leaked image of OnePlus 3 showing off its USB Type-C Port. Now, it looks like the official unveiling of OnePlus 3 is not too far. OnePlus has just introduced its Loop VR headset with which you can experience the launch of OnePlus 3 in virtual reality.

You can not only experience the launch of OnePlus 3 in virtual reality through the Loop VR headset, but you can also buy the OnePlus 3 from within it. The OnePlus 2 was unveiled in a VR launch last year, and now, the OnePlus 3 will also be unveiled in a VR launch. However, the difference is that while the company had sent VR kits made of cardboard during the OnePlus 2 launch, it will be sending a VR headset for the OnePlus 3 launch which has a far better build quality.

“We believe we, and the tech industry as a whole, have only scratched the surface of what can be done in VR, and there’s much more immersive experiences to be had. Inspired by a certain fan video, we took to our imagination of where OnePlus would be decades from now, having moved our headquarters to space. Our space station is called The Loop, and we’re excited for you to check it out.” wrote Carl Pei, CEO and Founder of OnePlus in a forum.

“Last year, we made 30,000 OnePlus Cardboard viewers and sent them to our fans for free (plus shipping) before the launch. This year, we’re taking this one step further too. Forget cardboard, this year we’re excited to bring you the OnePlus Loop VR Headset – for a more robust, immersive and comfortable experience. Loop VR is beautiful, and developed together with our buddies at AntVR who are pros at VR optics. We’re confident that this year’s experience will be vastly improved.” Mr. Pei further added.

30,000 units of Loop VR headset were available for free (shipping charges on you), but as can be expected, people were quick to claim it and now the headset is out of stock. The OnePlus 3 has already made its appearance on GFXBench and is expected to launch sometime in June this year.
