Thanks to the free offers, Reliance Jio managed to clock in 100 Million subscribers in 170 days. While users were enjoying all the freebies offered by Reliance Jio like free 4G data, voice calls and SMS until now, they soon will have to start paying for it. The Happy New Year offer, under which users are enjoying free data, voice calls and SMS, will end on March 31, and after that, you will have to enroll in Jio Prime Membership to be able to extend the Happy New Year offer for another year.

To enroll as a member of Jio Prime, users will have to pay a fee of ₹99 between March 1 to March 31, 2017. After that, starting from 1st of April, users will be able to enjoy the same benefits that they got with the ongoing Happy New Year offer. However, you will have to pay ₹303 extra every month if you want to get 1 GB 4G data per day.

Here are the Reliance Jio Prime Membership details

  • Jio Prime Membership essentially offers benefits of “Happy New Year” Plan i.e. 1 GB 4G data per day, unlimited free calls and SMS along with access to Jio Entertainment Apps.

Should you opt for Reliance Jio Prime Membership?

Yes, you should definitely opt for Reliance Jio Prime Membership, because for ₹303 per month, you are not only getting free voice calls and roaming, but, 1 GB 4G data every day as well. This really isn’t a bad deal at all, BUT, you should only opt in if you are getting proper speed and network coverage in your area. There are several users who are complaining about low speeds. If you are not getting proper Internet speed and network coverage, then opting for the membership isn’t a good idea. Having said that the speeds might improve, so you can decide to take a leap of faith in that case.

So, are you going to opt for Reliance Jio Prime Membership, do let us know in the comments below?

You will have to pay 303 per month to avail all this. You won’t be able to make any calls if you won’t pay Rs. 303 per month

No.. No… Today I spoke to Jio executive in Nasik and he explained me that if you do not want to avail data or use video call then 99/- a year will do for only calling or sms. Your phone should be volte enabled and data should be “off”

I am not able to make calls. It is always dropped or Phone bussy. Data is secondary isuue. I will not go with JIO. The primary use of making calls is defeated.

Speed is still ok, even it is varying whole day, it should be fixed first to hold customers, people are still using jio as secondary operator

I would think because the speed in my area is very poor. So unless it was assured that they will increase the speed I would not go with Jio.
