Last year in December, Chinese smartphone brand nubia launched its gaming smartphone nubia Red Magic in India with a price tag of ₹29,999. And now, the company is reportedly bringing its second gaming smartphone to India next month.
According to a report by 91Mobiles, nubia will launch the nubia Red Magic Mars gaming smartphone in India next month. The report states that this smartphone will be priced under ₹35,000 in India. In addition to that, the company is also planning to launch Snapdragon 855-powered nubia X in India under ₹40,000. However, there’s no word on the timeline of the launch of the nubia X.
The nubia Red Magic Mars was launched last year in November. It is powered by Snapdragon 845 SoC and comes in three memory configurations – 6 GB RAM + 64 GB storage, 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, and 10 GB RAM + 256 GB storage.
The smartphone runs Android Pie-based nubia RedMagic OS 1.6 and sports a 6-inch 18:9 display that has a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. It has a 16 MP camera at the back and an 8 MP camera on the front. The smartphone also comes with features like glowing RGB LED lights and dual (liquid + air) cooling, and ships with a 3800 mAh battery with support for 16W fast charging.
Speaking about the nubia X, this is a dual display smartphone which features a 6.26-inch Full-HD+ LCD display on the front and a 5.1-inch HD+ Always-On AMOLED display at the back. The smartphone doesn’t have a camera on the front because of which it gets an almost bezel-less look and a screen-to-body ratio of 93.6%.
The nubia X sports 16 MP and 24 MP cameras at the back which can also be used for selfies and video calls – thanks to the secondary display on the back.
In addition to dual displays and dual rear cameras, the nubia X also features dual fingerprint scanners – one on the left and other on the right. These can also be used as navigation buttons.
Under the hood, the nubia X comes with Snapdragon 845 SoC which is coupled with up to 8 GB RAM. However, the 91Mobiles report claims that nubia will launch this smartphone in India with Snapdragon 855 instead.
