Sony details KitKat update plans for its high-end devices

We have been quite impressed with the way Sony has brought about Android updates to its devices in the past year. The Japanese giant recently brought the Android 4.4 KitKat update to Xperia Z Ultra and today, they have revealed plans of updating their high-end devices with the latest Android software.

The good news is that the Android 4.4 KitKat update is now rolling out to Xperia Z Ultra, Xperia Z1 and Xperia Z1 Compact. The update is rolling out gradually so it might take some time to reach all the regions around the globe.

Sony has also detailed availability of the update for more devices. The Android 4.4 KitKat update is in development for Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR and Xperia Tablet Z and the update should start seeding to these devices by May or June in this year.

Along with the aforementioned devices, Sony will also bring the update to Xperia T2 Ultra (which recently launched in India), Xperia E1 and Xperia M2 but Sony hasn’t revealed a time frame as to which we can expect the update on these devices. Check out the official change log below:
